Preheat oven to 190C.
Spoon chocolate chips and nut into a small bowl and set aside.
Spoon brown and white sugar into mixing bowl, add half a cup of margarine or butter and cream well.
Add 1 egg and 1/2 tsp Vanilla, mix well.
Poor oatmeal and flour mixture into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
Roll into walnut sized balls, place on slightly greased baking tray, 5 cm apart and bake for 8-10min.
Makes 3 dozen.
